Assistant tips: plan the day without inventing tasks
Plan day packs scheduled tasks and backlog into focus blocks. Here is what the assistant can and cannot do on each plan.
Plan day is a signed-in tool. Any account can list existing focus blocks. Running the planner itself requires Pro or Premium — Free does not include it, and we do not describe it as unlimited.
The planner looks at today's scheduled tasks and the backlog, then packs them into focus blocks inside your working hours. It also returns tasks that fell out of deleted blocks to the backlog, so a replan does not silently lose work. Habits and working hours are read in your IANA timezone, not in UTC, so a 9:00 block stays 9:00 where you are.
Voice and the assistant can ask for the same plan. Rule-based understanding works without an LLM. When the LLM assistant is on, usage follows the published monthly token cap: Free is zero, so the first request is rejected; Pro and Premium have finite caps. History is stored only for a signed-in user.
A few phrases that map cleanly:
- "Plan my day" — pack today's tasks into focus blocks.
- "What meetings do I have today?" — list today's events, not a guessed summary.
- "Remind me 15 minutes before the standup" — a reminder offset before the event start, not a new event.
Confirm anything that would create or move a real item. The assistant should land events, tasks, and facts on the calendar you already use — not a side list of notes.
